FAQ

What is a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)?

A Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is an integrated energy storage solution composed of lithium-ion battery modules, BMS, PCS, EMS, thermal management, and fire protection systems. It supports peak shaving, valley filling, grid frequency regulation, emergency backup power, solar & wind energy integration, and off-grid microgrid applications for residential, commercial, industrial and utility scenarios.

What is a power battery system?

The power battery system is specially designed for mobile equipment such as electric two-wheelers, electric scooters, light forklifts, marine vessels, and new energy vehicles. It features high power discharge capability, fast charge response, strong shock resistance, and excellent dynamic performance to adapt to complex operating conditions.

What is the difference between energy storage batteries and power batteries?

BESS Batteries: Optimized for long cycle life, high energy efficiency, and stable long-duration discharge; suitable for 0.5C–1C continuous operation; widely used for stationary energy storage.
Power Batteries: Optimized for high-rate charge & discharge, instantaneous power output, and dynamic load changes; suitable for 1C–5C high-power operation for mobile devices.

What battery chemistries do you provide?

We mainly adopt LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) for high safety, long cycle life and excellent stability. NCM ternary batteries are available for high-energy-density scenarios. Custom solutions such as LTO are also supported for special low-temperature and ultra-long-life requirements.

What is the round-trip efficiency of your BESS?

The system AC round-trip efficiency reaches 90%–95%, and DC efficiency is above 95% under standard operating conditions.

What is the cycle life of your battery system?

LFP energy storage systems achieve 4,000–8,000+ cycles. Power battery systems provide 1,000–3,000 cycles according to different application loads.

What are the operating temperature ranges?

Standard working temperature: -20℃ to 55℃. With active thermal management, the system can adapt to extreme environments from -40℃ to 60℃.

What is BMS and what functions does it support?

BMS (Battery Management System) monitors real-time voltage, current, temperature, SOC and SOH. It provides overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, short circuit and over-temperature protection, cell balancing, fault diagnosis, and remote communication for system safety and stability.

Can the system support capacity expansion?

Yes. Our modular BESS supports parallel expansion for larger energy and power capacity. Power battery solutions can be customized for capacity upgrade according to customer equipment space and protocol requirements.
